A kayaking trip on the Łupawa on the Kozin – Łupawa section (21 km) is one of the most difficult routes in our offer: rapids, boulders, a brisk current with the character of a mountain stream. A route exclusively for very experienced paddlers.
The whole Łupawa is one of the more difficult rivers, and this section in particular. It's a day of full concentration, technique and adrenaline – with a reward in the form of a wild, forested valley and a calm finish by the power-station dam in Łupawa.

The adventure begins innocently – from a lowland start past the junction with the Bukowina, through a great forested valley we reach the first stony rapids at Czarna Dąbrówka. Further on the river spreads out between the boulders. The calm, however, is only apparent.
Just past Flisowo the Łupawa takes on the pace of a mountain stream. From now on there's no joking: the current is very brisk, and the river is positively bristling with boulders and underwater stones. Add to that fallen trees and – spicing things up – the remains of old bridges. Finally it grows quieter: the current calms again and the river carries us slowly to the impoundment of the power-station dam in Łupawa.
Among the less extreme attractions are the hydroelectric plant in Łupawa and the historic 18th-century church in Łupawa.
No. It's one of the most difficult routes – a brisk mountain current, boulders, underwater stones and obstacles. We require real experience. For beginners we recommend „My First Time in a Kayak" or „The Gentle Łupawa".
Yes, portages are possible – depending on the water level. There are also shallows requiring towing the kayak.

On a river of mountain character, single kayaks (touring and whitewater) feel best, giving full control. Two-person kayaks require a well-coordinated, experienced crew.
